IP College for Women provides a unique course of bachelor of Mass Media and Mass Communication (BMMMC).
  • IP College for Women is in the process of finalising a proposal to introduce a Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication in the near future.
  • IP College for Women gives 2% advantage for those who have some experience in working in media of various kinds.

Admission Criteria: Merit basis.

B.A. (Hons.) Hindi Journalism & Mass Communication

In 2013, the university had decided to do away with the entrance test and interview for selecting students for this course. Now, admissions for this course are taken on the cut-off list basis.

Post Graduate Diploma In Business Journalism and Corporate Communication (DBJCC)

Started in 2004, this one year programme aims to provide students with an insight into the corporate world. The programme equips students with skills in Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Advertising and Business Journalism. This programme is offered by Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Pitampura.

It is the only course, one of its kind, being pursued at the Delhi University and is affiliated to the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences & Humanities, South Campus, University of Delhi.

Admission Criteria: Admission to DBJCC is based on the entrance test conducted by the college with 80% weightage, interview with 10% weightage & group discussion with 10% weightage. The admission test will be of 2 hours duration and will consist of objective type questions with weightage on:

  • Economics and Business Awareness (30% weightage)
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs (20% weightage)
  • General English (20% weightage)
  • Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning (30% weightage)

The advertisement about the admission is published in May, while sale of prospects also start in the same month. The college conducts entrance test for admission to this programme in July.

Selection Process: Department of Hindi, South Campus conducts entrance exam in May every year for the above two certificate/diploma courses.  Entrance Test is held at Arts Faculty Building, University of Delhi, South Campus, Benito Juarez Marg, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi- 110021.
